The summer growing season has drawn to a close, and with it my dreams of an abundance of tomatoes, peppers, basil, and cilantro. It’s true, my garden wasn’t quite what I had hoped this year, but I decided a while back that a garden gone wrong is really alright. Thankfully, even though I killed most of my pepper transplants, and the tomatoes got hit with some weird infirmity, and the basil got crowded out in the herb garden, my chard has done beautifully! I have more than I know what to do with.
It dawned on me a few weeks ago to take the surplus and dehydrate it so that I could conveniently store it in jars for the winter. I shared the simple process over at Day 2 Day Joys and would love for you to read how easy it was over there! I’ve done two batches so far and will be doing another soon.
Here’s to a winter of dehydrated greens!
